Last Friday I sat next to a colleague at a service club luncheon. Our conversation turned to statins. My colleague said that he was taking Crestor for his cholesterol. I immediately mentioned that Crestor had some wicked side effects. He was not concerned because he said that his internist and cardiologist were both taking Crestor, so Crestor must be safe.
Question :?: : Were the doctors lying in order to get my colleague to take Crestor?
My Answer is YES. I believe that this a routine ploy doctors use to get patients to take statins.
