This is PhD thesis done at Basel University by Dr. Peter Mullen/Manchester, United Kingdom.

Lars: This looks like an interesting publication. I noticed DMSO on the definitions page, a universal solvent and byproduct of wood pulp manufacturing process that has interested me for years (since the 60's). I will read this with interest as soon as my schedule permits. Thanks.
