dermatomyositis or polymyositis

I am (was) a very active (gym racquetball golf) 39 yr old male. The only change in my life was the daily addition of crestor. Within months, i had a rash on the back of my knuckles and muscle weakness.

A month later i'm diagnosed with deramatomyositis and on prednisone and cellcept.

Any others on statin drugs daignosed with a myositis disease?

Any info on stopping the induced drug = body returning to normal. How long to rid your body of the induced drug (i.e. crestor)

It can take months to get the stuff out of your system , be patient . Welcome to statin guinea pig club , destroyed the nerves in both my feet .
