simvastatin and seizures?

simvastatin and seizures?

My brother started taking simvastatin last week, and two days ago he had a seizure. We rushed him to the hospital by ambulance, and a CT scan showed nothing abnormal in the brain. He is 45, and suffered a severe head injury in 1982. The neurologist indicated the seizure was probably a result of the damage done to the brain back then. I started researching simvastatin after a co-worker said her father had been told that these drugs affect the brain. Is there any literature or research linking use of these drugs to seizures?
