statins and people who have had hepatitis B

I am wondering how many people there are out there who have been prescribed statin drugs despite the fact that they have had hepatitis B and that the contra indications say that anyone who has had liver disease should not take statins. I don't seem to be able to tolerate any of the statins and now the doctor wants me to try Zetia, which the inserts in the packages tell you not to take if you have liver disease. I apparently got over my hepatitis B infection with no ill effects and am not a carrier.
