Hi everyone...
I haven't checked the website in awhile and was interested to see Linda and Bucho talking about the issue with hand numbness.
My husband complains of this constantly. I am looking into taking him for carpal tunnel testing. Very interesting that you two are complaining of similar issues. Giving me something else to ponder now.....hmmm.
The tinnitus is still a huge issue. No answers there from our doctors. No improvement that has lasted more than a few days. Bite guards, reflexology, and massage have maybe helped a little, but the problem is still quite an issue for him.
His cholesterol levels did rise after getting off the meds. His doc then wanted him to take Zetia. He tried and quit almost immediately when similar symptoms returned.
He is feeling so well. He treadmills everyday, up to 4 miles, and does his weight lifting. It is amazing how much muscle has returned. He is energetic and focused and feeling great. Really, his only complaint these days is the hand issue and the ringing in his ears.
The behavioral problems are long gone and he has been his old self for months. We are eating responsibly and he is pretty diligent with his supplements. It is hard to believe how different things were a year ago.
We also have done the liver cleanse thing. Can't comment on what good it did/didn't do. I figured that it certainly couldn't hurt.
Hope you all continue to post your issues and results here.
Take care and if you are just finding this forum...keep positive and believe that there IS hope for recovery after statin use. Life can be good again.
