Dr. Basil Rifkind dies of Parkinson's

One of the principal figures in a 1984 study that provided evidence that lowering blood cholesterol can prevent heart attacks died at age 73 of Parkinson's. I wonder if the good doctor was taking statin drugs and if so, did they contribute to his Parkinson's.

On the news here in the UK, they mentioned that an ongoing study in America has showed that taking statins could reduce the risk of Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease (not sure which one they mentioned) by 50% or something like that!
I think someone is getting paid a lot to keep the wonder drug image alive!
Next weeks news will be "We should add statins to our petrol and diesel to stop our fuel lines from clogging up just like it does in the arteries", maybe when all the cars etc seize up and people die from the pollution that came from the fuel, the experts might think "could that have been caused by adding the statins?". You know the answer would be "NO" it must have been dirty fuel etc!
Don't you find it frightening to think how many IDIOTS control our lives and how we live them!
