Please read Statin Alternatives, Dr. Graveline indicates a strong anti-inflammatory response can be obtained with one RYR per day along with the other OTC anti-inflammatory supplements....vitamins B6, B12, folic acid, omega 3, CoC10 and 81 mg aspirin. Most issues with RYR are dosage related or co-administration with other drugs. One capsule of RYR is about equivalent to only 2.5mg of lovastatin. The above may nudge your total cholesterol and LDL lower, but should not "sledge-hammer" it to dangerously low levels. If you have borderline high levels, the above may keep your doctor "off your back" as in trying to push you onto Crestor, Lipitor or the other pharmaceutical grade statins. Its an option. Good luck.
