MY SISTER WAS ON VYTORIN FOR A FEW WEEKS WHEN SHE DEVELOPED SEVERE MUSCKE PAIN AND THEN HER JOINTS BECAME PAINFUL. SHE WENT TO THE DR. WHO TOOK HER OFF VYTORIN AND ADVISED HER TO TAKE TYLENOL ARTHRITIS FOR PAIN CONTROL AND TOLD HER SHE WOULD BE OK ONCE THE VYTORIN WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF HER SYSTEM. AFTER ANOTHER VISIT TO HER DR. WITH NO RELIEF SHE WENT TO THE ER. WHERE SHE WAS SEEN BY A NURSE PRACTIONER. SHE WAS ADVISED AGAIN TO GO HOME AND TAKE TYLENOL. 2 WEEKS LATER SHE WEN TO THE ER AGAIN AND WAS SEEN BY A DR. SHE HAD A COMPLETE WORK-UP DONE AND ADVISED SHE HAD POLYMYALGIA RHEUMATICA. SHE WAS PLACED ON PREDNISONE AND APPOINT GIVEN TO SEE A RHEUMATOLOGIST. SHE HAS BEEN ON THE PREDNISONE FOR 3 WEEKS WITH VERY LITTLE RELIEF. SHE IS 79 Y/O AND WALKED 3 MILES EVERY DAY UNTIL THIS HAPPENED. NOW SHE CAN HARDLY GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING, SHE CAN NO LONGER GET OUT OF THE BATHTUB. I TRULY BELIEVE THIS WAS ALL CAUSED BY VYTORIN.
